Hong Kong Is the Hong Kong EMBA different from the program in Canada? Aside from the stronger emphasis on Asian case studies and doing business in Asia, the Hong Kong EMBA is the same as the Canadian EMBA. The professors and curriculum are the same. In fact, if you leave Hong Kong before completing Year 1 of the course, you could transfer and finish the course in Canada (subject to space availability). The diploma you receive is the Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario, which is the same whether you take the Hong Kong EMBA, Canadian EMBA, or Canadian full-time MBA. How long has your program been around? The Ivey Business School was established in 1920 and our full-time MBA program has been offered since 1948 in London, Ontario. CUMBA believes in the sustainable community work by giving back to the underprivileged. Led by 18 of our student ambassadors, 45 primary school children (divided into 4 groups) from Buddhist Lau Tin Sang Primary School were invited to come over to the campus of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) for half a day, two weeks after the visit by CUMBA Students to the primary school. Instead of merely showing the scenic spots and the facilities to the children in the second leg of the charity event, it is our intention to encourage them to have their own dreams and to pursue university education amidst the difficulties ahead. ¡°Wow! This is the first time I¡¯ve ever paid a visit to a university. It¡¯s huge!?exclaimed by one enthusiastic primary student. As most of the children are from lower income families, their chances of dining out are slim. They were so excited to have lunch at one of the Chinese restaurants in the campus. This is yet another point CUMBA Students need to ponder, how to strike the balance of becoming a successful business leader and a socially responsible individual..
